 Edyth J. Wheeler, Ph.D.

Edyth J. Wheeler Edyth Wheeler is Professor and Graduate Director in the Department of Early Childhood Education at Towson University, Maryland, where she has been on the faculty since 1996. She earned her M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Education with a focus on Early Childhood at George Mason University, where she also has taught. Wheeler spent 11 year working with young children as a teacher and director of one of the first NAEYC accredited programs in Virginia. She has been a curriculum consultant to Kiddie Academy since 1994. Her first book, Conflict Resolution in Early Childhood: Helping Children Understand, Manage and Resolve Conflicts, was published in 2004. Currently, she is working on a new book, Families, Schools, and Communities in a Contemporary Context, to be published in 2010.

Lauren Kimmel

Lauren Kimmel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University. She also holds a Masters of Education in Special Education from Towson University. Ms. Kimmel has been teaching Elementary and Special Education in Harford and Baltimore County Public Schools for 9 years. Ms. Kimmel resides in Harford County, Maryland with her husband and 2 young daughters.
