    Our commitment to the care, education and safety of your children is reflected in our team. We hire teachers and assistants who are well versed in the best practices of early childhood education. Each member of our team nurtures each child in her care in a safe, supportive learning environment. Team members receive ongoing training to continue their education and are evaluated throughout the year. Our team excels at stimulating children to learn and preparing them for future education. Our team is devoted to making each day fun and educational. Their dedication makes all the difference for your children.

    Leigh Bibb, Director

    Leigh has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and over 20 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. She has worked as a teacher, director and manager during her career. For ten years, Leigh worked with Loudoun County Child Services and Prince William County After School Programs as a trainer in the field of education. She loves working with children,teachers and parents and invites you in to tour!

    Assad Aychan and Qadriya Sayyad, Owners

    Assad Aychan and Qadriya Sayyad are husband and wife that are at the center everyday. They love knowing and speaking with our parents when they're here. Make sure you stop by to say hello to them. Assad and Qadriya have four children--two of them are students at Kiddie Academy.

    Miss Eileen, Assistant Director

    Miss Eileen enjoys working with everyone at Kiddie Academy and making the school a wonderful experience for the children. She has been a part of the Kiddie Academy team since October 2008. Miss Eileen is CPR and MAT trained and has an Associate's Degree in Horticulture/Landscape Design. She lives in Ashburn with her husband, their four children, and their dog Bella.

    Quality Childcare Checklist

    Child's Experience

    • What is the background and training of teachers and staff?
    • What is the teacher to child ratio?
    • Is the educational philosophy one that will fit with your child?
    • Does the curriculum balance education and play appropriately?
    • What is the amount of time spent outdoors?
    • Is a significant amount of the day dedicated to physical fitness?
    • How are nutritious meals and snacks incorporated into your child's everyday routine?

    Equipment and Supplies

    • Has the child/day care center provided state-of-the-art, developmentally appropriate educational tools and aids?
    • Does playground equipment meet federal and safety standards?
    • Have learning aids and furniture been designed for maximum comfort and learning?
    • Are detailed inspections and evaluations of the day care facility performed before any piece of equipment is brought onto the premises?

    Cleanliness

    • Does the daycare center appear exceptionally clean, both inside and outside?
    • Are there established guidelines for sanitizing the diapering stations, bathrooms, kitchens, toys and tables?
    • Is there a janitorial service hired to thoroughly sanitize and cleanse the entire facility on a regular basis?
    • When you walk around the daycare center does it smell fresh and clean?

    Parent Partnership

    • How involved do you feel you will be with your child's experience at the daycare center?
    • What kind of constant communication does the center promise?
    • How open are the teachers and staff about talking with you?
    • Are they willing to share information about your child's activities daily?

    Health and Safety Features

    • Do all entries and exits provide secure/controlled access?
    • Are there established fire alarms/security systems/evacuation procedures posted?
    • Is there stable fencing surrounding the entire facility?
    • Does the daycare center have security cameras and/or webcams?
    • Is there a well-established health and safety program?
    • Is a health check performed every morning by each child's teacher to look for signs and symptoms of illness?
    • Have all staff members and teachers had background checks?

    Floor Plan

    • Does the daycare center layout allow for constant sight and sound contact with your child?
    • Is the childcare classroom configuration one that promotes safe learning and encourages creativity?
