Our Team
Our commitment to the care, education and safety of your children is reflected in our team. We hire teachers and assistants who are well versed in the best practices of early childhood education. Each member of our team nurtures each child in her care in a safe, supportive learning environment. Team members receive ongoing training to continue their education and are evaluated throughout the year. Our team excels at stimulating children to learn and preparing them for future education. Our team is devoted to making each day fun and educational. Their dedication makes all the difference for your children.
Owners
We are Amy Johnson and Cathy Cummings, the owners and operators of Kiddie Academy of Brier Creek. We opened our center on August 1st, 2005 and when we started this project we knew it would be a labor of love. Our school is privately owned by us and we are fully committed on site owners. We strongly believe in the Kiddie Academy philosophy and understand finding a quality childcare provider is critical to the growth and development of your child. We would love to have you become a part of the Kiddie Academy community.
Director
My name is Linda Plaisted and I've been the Director of Kiddie Academy of Brier Creek since September 2006. I have a BA in Psychology from NC State with concentrations in Early Childhood Education and Human Resources Development. It was during an internship that I was able to experience the theories of Early Childhood Education I'd learned in coursework come to life in the most inspiring ways. I knew then that this was a field that would be rewarding to me. I've been in the field in the positions of teacher, assistant director, and director since 1991. I am also a mom of two girls and a boy; Emillie, Ally, and Parker. In my spare time I enjoy just being a mom, running, and reading. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
