Hello and welcome to Kiddie Academy of Carpentersville!
My name is Cheri Skunicki. I received a Bachelor's degree from Judson University, Elgin in elementary education. I have experience with every age level of children - from kindergarten to middle school. I received my Master's degree from Concordia University, Mineapolis, MN in early childhood education, which is my true passion. As a result, I have worked for the past seven years as a director at a local child care center. I feel strongly that young children need active, hands-on experiences in order to learn. I look forward to having the opportunity to put my beliefs into practice for the children who belong to the Kiddie Academy of Carpentersville community.
I am married and have a 16-year-old son. We have lived in Bartlett for the last 15 years. I enjoy doing all sorts of outdoor activities, including walking my dog and riding my bike. I exercise regurlarly, enjoy reading good fiction books and typically am spending time with family and friends when I am not working.
My door will always be open to you. Feel free to come in and discuss any questions or concerns that you may have about your children at any time. I look forward to meeting you and hope to develop strong relationships in order to help build an even stronger community here.

Carol Siqueira opened Kiddie Academy of Carpentersville in August 2009 and is on-site every day to welcome new and current families to the facility.
Carol has close to a decade of experience in business, with a concentration in accounting. She attended a local Chicago university and worked for a real estate developer in Chicago for the last several years. Carol switched career paths in order to own her own business and has found child care to be very gratifying.
"I thought working with families that were first-time homebuyers and being able to make their dreams come true by owning their first house was rewarding, but it doesnt compare to Kiddie Academy. To be able to see a child grow and learn is extremely satisfying. I look forward to coming to work every day and seeing not only the children but their families. Kiddie Academy is dedicated to being much more than a typical child care facility; we are a family and a place where learning and fun go hand in hand."

Assistant Director
My name is Diane Bishop and I am very excited to join the Kiddie Academy family as the new Assistant Director. I have been working in the field of Education since 1992. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education specializing in Early Childhood Administration from National-Louis University. Additionally, I have a Bachelors Degree from Western Illinois University in Elementary Education and a Type 03 Teaching Certificate.
I have worked for more than 13 years in Child Care administration where I worked to create and maintain quality, safe early learning environments for children of varying ages. I am committed to providing high quality education to all children. I believe that children are the foundation of the future and I strive to set each child up for success by giving children the resources to achieve their fullest potential.
