Liz Bilder, Director

Liz Bilder is the Director of Kiddie Academy of Hillsborough.  She was born and raised in England and emigrated to the United States after graduating from college with a B.S. Degree in Sports Science.
After coaching tennis at a children's camp in New Jersey for two summers, Liz decided to reside here and continue working with children. Liz began her career in Early Childhood Education at Children's Choice Child Care Center in East Brunswick as the Teacher of the Two year-old Class.  Liz and her husband, Marshall then moved to Cherry Hill to allow Marshall to complete a law clerkship. Simultaneously, Liz was hired as a Director for Greentree Academy.  Following the clerkship, the Bilders relocated again, this time to Franklin Park.  Liz went to work for KinderCare Learning Centers, Inc., as a director and managed schools for them in Delran, Lawrenceville, and West Windsor over a 10 year period.  Liz was an award-winning Director at all three of these schools, ranking in the top 1% of the company. She was preparing to transfer to the KinderCare in Hillsborough when she was recruited by Harsh Chadha, owner of more than 20 Kiddie Academy franchises in New Jersey.
Liz began her tenure with Kiddie Academy at the North Brunswick facility and transferred to the Hillsborough Kiddie Academy in September 2001.  She has been employed by Kiddie Academy for 11 years. During this time, Liz has led both the North Brunswick and Hillsborough Kiddie Academies to achieve the much-coveted national accreditation through NAEYC and NECPA. Liz has also been instrumental in raising thousands of dollars for both local and national charities through Kiddie Academy.
Liz and Marshall have been happily married for 22 years and have 2 beautiful daughters. Nicole is in 8th Grade and Jessica is in 4th Grade. The Bilder family have made their home in Hillsborough since January 1999.

Ashley Cummings, Assistant Director

Ashley M. Cummings is the new Assistant Director of Kiddie Academy in Hillsborough. She was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. Ten years of her life in Brooklyn was dedicated to gymnastics. She competed regularly and progressed up to the Elite level. However, Her competing and love for the sport stopped when she moved to Gillette NJ at the age of 17. After graduating HS she continued onto College. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park NJ for four and graduated in 02 with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice; She wanted to be a state trooper. Her first job was a gymnastics instructor in Garwood NJ on Saturday mornings. She taught the whole four years she was in college but resigned after graduation. She received her certification in Personal Training and did that for 6 months and decided working with children was where her heart was. The Little Gym was going to be the start of something great for her. With a combo of developmental skills for ages 4-24 months, to a great gymnastics program for 3-12 years old, this was where she was going to be. For three years she moved up the ranks. Started as an assistant teacher. Moved very quickly to a head teacher. Soon became to Program Director; overseeing the staff, handling lesson plans, meetings, hiring. Realizing there was no where else to go after this position except buying into the franchise, and at 24 she was not ready for that responsibility yet. Her new home would now be with a growing early childhood development facility on the upper east side in Manhattan, called Kidville. She was hired to help open up their new Upper West side location. Soon after this location was opened she was bumped right up to Class Manager. Over seeing not one but 2 locations with over 20 teachers. On top of this she decided to start competing in Figure; a division within body building. Not realizing what that would mean she did it anyway. A month later staved and cranky she took third in her first show. Despite her mood she continued to train hard an diet. she soon found a balance of now managing four locations across the Tri-State area and competing; it was rough but she got through. In the summer of 2008 she earned her Pro-card. So now when she competes she competes for cash prize!!! In September of 2009 she was engaged with a puppy and realized that working in the city was not the life for her any more. So again she had to end the relationship and move on.
So now she finds herself a Pro figure competitor, owner of a very large puppy, engaged, thinking about a wedding for next year, and Very Happy as the new Assistant Director of Kiddie Academy of Hillsborough!!!
