Franchisor among two companies in child care industry to be honored in list

ABINGDON, Md. – Kiddie Academy is one of only two child care franchises to be selected in the recent Dun & Bradstreet's (D&B) AllBusiness.com "2009 AllBusiness AllStars."  The franchisor of education-based child care facilities was honored for its steady growth over the recent years.
      This first annual ranking of the top 300 franchises was developed by AllBusiness.com editors over a six-month review period and is based on "the in-depth financial analysis" of its parent company, D&B. According to AllBusiness.com, 700 franchises were evaluated on various factors, particularly financial health in light of the current economic situation.
      According to the AllBusiness editors, “Although even child care is being impacted somewhat by today's economy, there is a need for this service. And with educational standards becoming more and more competitive, parents are willing to spend money on any services they believe will improve their children's chances of academic achievement -- so the academic focus of this day-care company gives it an edge.”
